Here you will see a cone fall from a height of 3 metres. As you watch the video use a stop watch to determine the time that the cone takes to fall and work out the acceleration of the cone. You will need to assume that the acceleration is constant.
This clip shows the famous experiment in which a feather and hammer are dropped together on the moon. As you watch this try to record the time that it takes for the objects to fall to the ground. Also estimate the initial height of the objects and hence calculate an estimate of the acceleration due to gravity on the moon.
